Children from counties, school districts, behavioral health organizations, and families who can benefit from our unique services and approach are welcomed.

Rooted in the tradition of the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth and responding to the needs of the times, Mount Saint Vincent Home partners with families and children to strengthen their ability to emotionally and socially participate in their communities. We support families and children without being a substitute for families, valuing relationships that promote our values: dignity, humor, individual responsibility, justice, learning, personal safety, respect, sense of community and spiritual growth. Since 1883, Mount Saint Vincent has cared for 18,000 Colorado kids and presently serves 100 children each day.

Mount Saint Vincent Home's Services and Expertise

  • Residential Treatment: Mount Saint Vincent provides home-like residential treatment in our three cottages for 36 girls and boys ages 5-13. Children receive individual, group and family therapy and benefit from the therapeutic milieu and the on-grounds school.
  • Aspen House: Up to eight older boys ages 7-18 live in the Aspen House, a less restrictive setting, often attending school off campus and learning key socialization skills so they can move to a foster or group home, or eventually emancipate into the community with the ability to live with some support on their own.
  • Day Treatment: The Day Treatment program at Mount Saint Vincent serves children ages 5-13, primarily from the Denver metro area. All children enrolled in the Day Treatment program receive individual therapy, family therapy and group therapy in accordance with their therapeutic needs.
  • K-8 School:Mount Saint Vincent also offers a kindergarten through eighth grade school for our residential children and others who have behavioral problems in school. A very structured, safe and developmentally attuned classroom is provided in which young children master how to learn and behave successfully so they can return to their community schools.
  • Early Learning Center and Primary Program: Preschool programs are provided for both traditional neighborhood preschoolers ages 3-6 and for preschool children that need a therapeutic healing and learning environment. Both preschools are 4-Star rated Qualistar programs.
  • Credentials: Programs are fully accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA), and Mount Saint Vincent is on the path to certification by Child Trauma Academy.

We are Child Focused, Trauma Aware, and Family Respectful
