Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of financial need, academic record, potential to succeed, leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, a statement of educational and career goals, and an outside appraisal. Students must complete 80 hours of community service in the community where they are going to school during the year they are scholarship recipients.
The Scholarship Program is administered by Scholarship Management Services, a department of Citizens' Scholarship Foundation of America, Inc. (CSFA). CSFA is a national non-profit educational support and student aid service organization that seeks to involve and assist the private sector in expanding educational opportunities and encouraging educational advancement.
