From Fox 31 TV/Denver Officers Deliver Baby Boy Child was born on the side of a road Thursday Last Edited: Thursday, 17 Apr 2008, 1:29 PM MDT Created: Thursday, 17 Apr 2008, 1:29 PM MDT BOULDER (MyFOXColorado.com) – A Boulder County Sheriff’s Deputy and two Colorado State Troopers played the roles of OBGYN Thursday morning by delivering baby along the side of a road. The incident happened around 9 a.m. on the shoulder of Colorado 287 and Lookout Rd. The two troopers stopped to help a driver when they immediately discovered that the women had gone into labor, CSP said. The troopers called the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office for help and a deputy arrived a short time later. With the help of the Boulder County Communications Center, all three officers successfully delivered the baby boy -inside the vehicle- at 9:04 a.m. The mother and child were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Longmont and are believed to be doing well.
