Peach Festival artists and art demonstrations e-mail to a friend | print this | link to this Contributed by: Lafayette Community Events on 7/29/2008 What: The Peach Festival, free to the public, will feature the finest artists on the Front Range exhibiting their work for sale. Come see artists demonstrate pottery, woodworking, painting, fiber art, paper collage, bookbinding and more at the tents of the East Boulder county Artists, Lafayette Art Center and the Book Arts League. Don't miss the large children's area at the Lafayette Florist tent will include free arts and crafts activities, face painting and live entertainment. Food booth, antique dealers, crafters and artists will display their work along Public Rd. 30,000 pounds of Palisade freestone peaches from Morton's Certified Organic Orchards will be sold at the Festival. For the peach connoisseur, the peach varieties will include: Bellaire, Flamin Fury 15a, Redhaven, Blazing Star and Red Globe. For fresh produce and roasted chilis, visit the popular farmer's market and enjoy a variety of food from the many food vendors. Save room for fresh peach pies, warm peach cobblers ala mode and peach smoothies! Bonfils Blood Center will be holding their Lafayette CommunityPeach Festival Blood Drive from 9:30am-3:30pm. Look for the Bonfils Bus on S. Public Rd. near Kimbark Street. All donors will receive a free Bonfils baseball hat for donating.
