HRH selects experienced CEO with Montana roots
May 19, 2009
John Isely will be joining Holy Rosary Healthcare as Interim President/CEO. John brings over 35 years of hospital and senior leadership experience to Holy Rosary
“We’re pleased to bring John into our Holy Rosary family,” said Monty Lesh, HRH Board Chair. “His experience and health care knowledge will serve us well. He’s a trusted and proven leader who will be instrumental in leading the progress on several key initiatives and continue positioning our hospital to operate successfully well into the future.”
Isely retired from St Mary Medical Center, a 140+ bed regional referral center in Walla Walla, Washington where he had spent over 20 years as President and CEO. He is no stranger to Montana or the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth Health System having served as Assistant Administrator at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings in the early 1980s.
Isely is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. His education includes a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Concordia College in Moorehead, Minnesota, and a Masters in Healthcare Administration from St. Louis University.
Isely was onsite at Holy Rosary Healthcare in mid-May and is looking forward to leading the organization in the coming months as a permanent CEO is found to replace Greg Nielsen who is leaving in June after six years with the organization. Nielsen will be CEO for a regional hospital and medical center in North Platte, Nebraska. Isely will join Holy Rosary June 1, and will work with Nielsen and the Holy Rosary team to ensure a smooth transition.
