Teaming up with Montana State University Billings and the College of Technology
Is your junior high aged student looking for something to do this summer?
The medical field abounds with exciting opportunities and the Health Careers Camp offers a rare opportunity to immerse them in the world of medicine. The Mansfield Health Education Center at St. Vincent Healthcare has teamed up with Montana State University Billings and The College of Technology for hands on experience in the medical world.
Students taking the vantage point of a medical professional will take a peek in the world of medical training at the MSU Billings College of Technology, tour St. Vincent Healthcare and its partners and explore all the facets of the a sports medicine program with MSU Billing’s Health and Human Performances Department.
It’s never a dull moment, because it’s packed with interactive experiences at St. Vincent Healthcare enabling students to see high tech medicine in action. Students will participate on a live video teleconference at the Mansfield Center with their peers. Students will learn about current search and rescue techniques and emergency medicine, including ambulance, helicopter and fire equipment.
The week long course runs July 13th-17th 9-3:00. The program is open to students entering the 6th, 7th or 8th grades. Registration is $195. Register today by calling the MSU Billings College of Professional Studies & Life Long Learning at 896-5890.
