HRH Foundation Partners with Local Dentists for SmileSavers
Holy Rosary Healthcare Foundation’s SmileSavers program will begin its fifth year in 2010 through a new partnership with Hogan Family Dental and Big Sky Smile Center, two local dental offices located in Miles City.
The first clinic date is Friday, April 23 at Hogan Family Dental. Appointments, which are limited and available on a first-reserve basis, may be made now by calling the HRH Foundation at 233.2604. Children on Medicaid, CHIP, or those with a significant financial need with no dental insurance may participate in the program. Dental assistants, dental hygienists and two dentists from Hogan Family Dental will be providing complete dental care (except orthodontia) to children, ages four to 12.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with the Foundation to provide important dental care to kids in our community,” said Robin Hogan, DDS, from Hogan Family Dental. “Our Give-Kids-a-Smile-Day is a success each year, and we’re delighted to be reaching out even further in our community through the SmileSavers program.”
The Foundation, through the financial support of donors and through the new collaborative relationship with Hogan Family Dental and Big Sky Smile Center, provides complete dental services for youth living in the Miles City area. SmileSavers has operated in its first four years through a partnership with the Ronald McDonald CareMobile. Since the program was launched in 2005, over 650 children have received care. According to the most recent census data, approximately 74 percent of children in Montana are without dental coverage.
Jackie Muri, CGPA, HRH Foundation Director, added: “This program is so important to this community and our local kids. All five local dental offices have been tremendous supporters of our program since 2005. We’re delighted to be bringing the program a little closer to home with a combination of financial support and time commitment/clinic services that make SmileSavers possible.”
After the April clinic date, the next date for SmileSavers is Friday, August 13, at Big Sky Smile Center. Appointments availability will be available beginning May 1 for the August SmileSavers event.
