Children's Hospital to expand at Saint JosephDenver Business Journal
The Children’s Hospital at Saint Joseph Hospital is expanding its downtown Denver emergency facility to add space for multiple specialty clinics and areas for new services, it announced Tuesday.
The current eight-bed inpatient facility across the road from Saint Joseph at 1830 Franklin St. will add 6,865 square feet.
Additional services that will be offered at the expanded location will include orthopedics, pulmonary and cardiology. The location also will offer clinic space for new sub-specialties such as audiology, dermatology, electroencephalography, endocrinology, neurology, neurosurgery, sports medicine, ultrasound, urology and ear, nose and throat services.
“The expansion of our location at Saint Joseph Hospital reinforces Children’s commitment to downtown Denver,” Suzy Jaeger, vice president of ambulatory services, said in a statement. “We look forward to serving an even greater number of kids with accessibility to a volume of sub-specialties, in addition to our existing emergency and inpatient care.”
The announcement comes roughly three weeks after Children’s Hospital acknowledged that it would launch a $228 million, 124-bed expansion of its facility at the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora.
Children’s Hospital has 15 network of care locations, including the main hospital, two emergency locations, three urgent care locations and nine specialty centers and clinics.
