As enrollment partners, Holy Rosary Healthcare can help families from anywhere in eastern Montana complete and submit HMK applications. Through a state grant received by the Holy Rosary Healthcare Foundation, a $25 incentive will be paid to each family who applies for coverage.

The HMK plan provides health coverage to children and teens through age 19. Eligibility is determined based on family size and income. There is no asset test, and HMK covers pre-existing conditions. A family may apply at any time, but is encouraged to apply now to ensure coverage for future needs.

Household income guidelines include: family of 2: $36,425; family of 3: $45,775; family of 4: $55,125; family of 5: $64,475; family of 6: $73,825.

According to 2010 Montana Kids Count study, only 182 children up to the age of 18 in Custer County were enrolled in CHIP/HMK, compared with a total of 2,607 total children under 18 in the county. That equates to 7 percent enrollment, although the same study showed that well over half the families in Custer County qualify for HMK.
