COMMUNITY PALLIATIVE AND HOSPICE CARE SEMINAR NOV. 29
November 21, 2011
Miles City, MT – November 21st, 2011 – On November 29, 2011 a free community educational event in honor of National Palliative and Hospice month and in memory of Montana’s loved ones will be held at Holy Rosary Healthcare at noon. The public is invited to come learn about Palliative and Hospice Care; find out firsthand how Palliative and Hospice Care providers take the time to talk with patients and family caregivers, listen to their concerns, and work to ensure they get the care they want.
According to the National Palliative and Hospice Care, more than 1.5 million people with a life-limiting illness get help from the nation’s hospice and palliative care providers every single year. The goal for Palliative and Hospice Care is to improve the quality of life for patients and families facing chronic or terminal illness. Hospice Care is meant for people who are terminally ill and are not looking to heal or cure their disease or illness. Palliative Care, on the other hand, is available to all patients at any point in their treatment, including those who are actively receiving care to heal or cure themselves.
