Holy Rosary Healthcare (HRH) is offering seasonal flu vaccines through their walk-in clinic, weekdays, 9am – 5pm, no appointment necessary. Flu shots cost $30 due at visit and Medicare can be billed.

With flu season around the corner, it is important to continue to practice the ABCD's of prevention to avoid the cold and flu bug this year. The following guidelines are recommended related to personal interactions and "hygiene etiquette".

Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth with your hands. Be sure to wash your hands often. Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your sleeve. Don't go out into public, to work or school if you are ill.

For your safety and the health of patients, hospital visitors are asked to please use frequent hand washing before and after your visit. Alcohol hand wash and masks are available for Holy Rosary visitors to help prevent the spread of the cold and flu viruses.

The Center Disease Control (CDC) recommends a yearly flu vaccine, for everyone 6 months of age and older, as the first and most important step in protecting against flu viruses. Children younger than 6 months are at high risk of serious flu illness, but are too young to be vaccinated. People who care for this age group should be vaccinated instead.
