Good Samaritan Medical Center Good Sam Bike Jam Signs a 'Giant'

Lafayette, Colo. – June 6, 2014 – Giant Bicycle, Inc. (located in Newbury Park, CA) will provide four high performance bicycles valued at $10,000 as sponsor of the King and Queen Hill Climb competition at the 8th Annual Good Sam Bike Jam to be held on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014.
“This sponsorship adds more credibility to our major fundraising event,” said Dr. Steve Temple, Chair of the EGSMC Foundation Board of Directors. Giant has agreed to a sponsorship for three years with future options.
“A ride like the Good Sam Bike Jam aligns well with our company’s social responsibility efforts to support the fight against cancer,” said Eric Woods, Regional Sales Manager for Giant Bicycle, Inc.
Organizers of the event hope to raise more than $50,000 for the Cancer Assistance Program and attract 1,000 to 2,500 participants.
About the Good Sam Bike Jam
The 8th Annual Good Sam Bike Jam is held every fall and offers something for everyone. Organizers of the event hope to raise more than $50,000 for the Cancer Assistance Program and attract 1,000 to 2,500 participants.
The event has bike routes of 20,32,45,62 and 100 miles. This year a four-mile cruiser ride and a walk have been added. The day ends with a BBQ, entertainment, prizes and awards.
