Providence Saint John Foundation

Thank you for your interest in the Providence Saint John Foundation.  For more than 20 years, the Foundation has provided support to Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan., and Saint John Hospital in Leavenworth, Kan. The Foundation assets not only provided funds for important critical care initiatives in Wyandotte and Leavenworth counties, but also community needs, including care for the poor and vulnerable.

SCL Health System has recently finalized the acquisition agreement for Prime Healthcare Services to assume ownership of both Providence Medical Center and Saint John Hospital.  The decision to transition these facilities to another organization, though difficult, was made in the best interest of the hospitals and the communities they serve. 

The Providence Saint John Foundation will remain affiliated with the SCL Health System.  The local board of directors is currently reviewing options regarding how best to invest Foundation assets into the Kansas City and Leavenworth communities.
