Duchesne Clinic provides quality primary healthcare for uninsured, low-income patients regardless of ability to pay. The clinic is known for its commitment to the uninsured poor and for providing access to compassionate and trustworthy primary healthcare. Duchesne Clinic:
- Provides healthcare services for adults with incomes at or below 150% of the federal poverty guidelines
- Provides a wide range of services including:
- Medication assistance
- Chronic disease education and management
- Some dental, optical and specialized medical care
- Mental health services provided through a partnership with Wyandot Center for Behavioral Healthcare
- Has over 28 volunteer physicians, many of whom are specialist physicians, who provide services on site at the clinic
- Has referral arrangements with medical and dental professionals throughout the community who help care for our patients
- Partners with numerous groups (state, local, and regional) that do planning and advocacy for the uninsured
- Is a United Way agency (United Way of Wyandotte County)
- Provided 11,000 patient visits during fiscal year 2007
- Provided 135,420 visits since it was founded in 1989
