Opened in 1988, and in 1998, combined its dental services with Martin de Porres Clinic, which first opened in 1996 as an outreach of St. Francis Health Center.
All dental services now are located at Marian Clinic Dental.

The two sites employ 32 individuals in full or part-time positions. Over 250 volunteer physicians, dentists, nurses and other health care providers enable the staff to provide health care to low-income residents of Shawnee County and dental care for residents of northeast Kansas. Patients are those living at or below 175% of poverty guidelines, with no health insurance and ineligible for public health assistance. At Marian Clinic Dental, financial guidelines are 200% of poverty and children with Medicaid or HealthWave coverage are treated, as well as senior adults on Medicare lacking supplemental insurance.
At the Garfield location in central Topeka, staff and volunteers deliver general medical care on-site with referrals as needed for specialists' consultations and treatment, health education and medications. St. Francis Health Center is the primary provider of donated hospitalization and services for surgery, emergency care, lab and x-ray. Stormont-Vail HealthCare began donating in-kind services in 2005.
On East Sixth Avenue in a disadvantaged neighborhood, Marian Clinic Dental provides dental services that include exams, cleanings, x-rays, restorations, simple extractions, fillings, sealants and preventive education.
Marian Clinic combined programs expect to provide 14,500 visits for over 3500 individuals in 2005-2006.
