St. Mary’s Hospital & Regional Medical Center is the only provider of many critical health care services in western Colorado and eastern Utah. Believing that advanced medical care should be available close to home and family, St. Mary’s has focused on developing medical services equal to those found in large metropolitan areas and academic medical centers.
- Cardiac and Vascular services
include cardiac catheterization, stent procedures, electrophysiology, open heart and vascular surgery, and rehabilitation services.
The Regional Cancer Center provides comprehensive medical and radiation oncology and hematology treatment, rehabilitation and support services.
Orthopedic services include a total joint replacement program, the dedicated orthopedics unit and comprehensive rehabilitation program.
A Level II Trauma Center with Pediatric Commitment is supported by air medical transport specially adapted to operate in mountainous terrain and 24-hour access to surgical expertise in trauma, orthopedics, pediatrics and neurosurgery.
A Level IIIB Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provides western Colorado’s highest level of intensive care for newborns with neonatologists, pediatricians, pediatric surgeon, nurses, nurse practitioners, therapists and a mother-baby air transport program.
The Regional Blood Center serves St. Mary’s trauma, surgical and oncology patients and provides blood products for most of western Colorado’s smaller hospitals.
A State-of-the-Art Imaging Center provides the latest diagnostic and interventional procedures and digital mammography services.
Thirteen surgical specialties serve the trauma center 24/7.
St. Mary’s is building for the next generation of health care delivery with the Century Project. The expansion and remodeling project includes 440,000 square feet of new construction and 75,000 square feet of renovated existing space designed to improve the patient care environment, accommodate current and emerging technologies and meet the health care needs of the area’s growing population.
